Rolex Service
A full Rolex service, from the inside out
A Rolex that comes to ChronoCare for servicing receives a complete movement service. The work is done by our own watchmakers at the Dubai Hills workshop, which sits alongside the Chrono Group showroom at Prive Residences.
The movement is taken apart and cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. Each part is then inspected, and any worn part is replaced before the movement is lubricated and rebuilt. Finally the watch is regulated and timed, and its water resistance is tested. It isn't a quick clean. You can read how a full watch service runs on our servicing page.
ChronoCare is an independent watch specialist and is not an authorised service centre of Rolex or of any other watch brand. The Rolex name describes the watches we work on. If your watch needs more than a service, the same workshop handles watch repair and case and bracelet polishing.
How a Rolex service is carried out
Assessment and agreement
We examine your Rolex with you and explain what we find. No work begins until you've agreed to it.
Disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
The case is opened and the movement is taken apart completely. Its components are then cleaned in an ultrasonic bath.
Inspection and replacement
Each cleaned part is inspected, and any part that has worn is replaced before the movement is rebuilt.
Re-lubrication and reassembly
The movement is reassembled, with fresh lubricant applied as it goes back together.
Regulation, timing and testing
The watch is regulated and timed. Its water resistance is then tested before it is returned to you.

Questions about Rolex servicing
What does a Rolex service at ChronoCare include?
A complete movement service. The movement is taken apart, cleaned ultrasonically and inspected, and worn parts are replaced. It is then re-lubricated, reassembled, regulated and timed, and the watch is given a water-resistance test. Case and bracelet refinishing are separate services.

Who services my Rolex, and where?
Our own watchmakers, at the ChronoCare workshop in Dubai Hills. ChronoCare is the watchmaking arm of Chrono Group, whose showroom is at Prive Residences, so your Rolex is serviced where you hand it over. It doesn't leave our hands.
Will I know what is being done before work starts?
Yes. Every job begins with an assessment, where we explain what the watch needs now and what can wait. Nothing starts without your agreement.
Can you check whether a pre-owned Rolex is authentic?
Yes, through our watch authentication service. The watchmakers examine the case, dial, movement and bracelet, check that the serial and reference numbers are consistent, and give you a written findings report. The report is their expert opinion. It is not a guarantee of authenticity, not a legal certificate and not a valuation.
How do I book a Rolex service?
Message us on WhatsApp at +971 56 342 6757, or call the same number, to agree a time. Visits are by appointment, and the workshop is open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. If you've kept earlier service papers or the box, bring them along.
