What we do to the movement
Complete movement dismantling
The movement is separated into its parts so the watchmaker can see any hidden wear and judge each component directly.
Ultrasonic parts cleaning
Cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, the components lose the old oil and grime that would otherwise speed up wear after reassembly.
Replacement and fresh oil
Parts found to be worn are replaced, and every point of friction is lubricated again before the watch is closed up.
Rate and seal verification
Timing is adjusted to bring the watch into line, and a water-resistance test shows how well the case now seals.
