Watch Servicing for Dubai Marina
Sea air, humidity and pool splashes test a watch's seals harder than most places in the city. A ChronoCare service rebuilds the movement and checks the case before the Marina gets another chance at it.

Watch Servicing
Heat, humidity and the waterfront
Waterfront living brings moisture into everyday life, and moisture does a watch more harm than almost anything else. Seals harden, humid air finds its way in, and oil begins to degrade, with summer heat speeding the process. A full service deals with the movement and the water-resistance check together.
Our certified watchmakers rebuild the movement at the Dubai Hills workshop and finish with a water-resistance test, since a dive or sports watch is only as good as the seals around it. You hear the findings first and decide what goes ahead.

Service steps that matter near the sea

Moisture check on opening
When the case is opened, the watchmaker looks for damp, corrosion or tarnish inside and tells you exactly what was found.

Thorough ultrasonic clean
Coastal air can leave fine deposits on movement parts, and an ultrasonic bath clears them before the watch is rebuilt.

Worn parts replaced
Components affected by wear are replaced, and the fresh lubrication that follows protects old and new surfaces alike.

Water-resistance testing before return
Before the watch is returned, the case is tested for water resistance, so you know how well it is sealed rather than having to assume.

Marina Walk, JBR beach and life on the water
From Marina Walk to the sand at JBR, life in Dubai Marina is spent near water, and the yachting crowd lives on it. A sports watch here meets salt air, sunscreen, pool chemicals and rapid temperature change, often within a single afternoon, before heading straight into cold air-conditioning.
A summer of that is hard on any case. Message us on WhatsApp to book a visit to the Dubai Hills workshop, and bring the watch you wear to the water. We will assess it, explain what we see and agree the work with you.
Signs a waterside watch needs attention
- A faint mist has appeared inside the crystal after a swim
- The crown feels stiff or gritty after days spent on the beach
- Spots or tarnish have appeared on the dial or inside the case
- You are no longer sure the watch is safe for the pool or sea

Questions about watch servicing in Dubai Marina
Is my watch still safe to swim in after years in Dubai Marina?
That depends on the seals, which age with heat and use, so we do not assume. A service includes a water-resistance test, and you will know where the case stands before you take it near the pool or sea again.
Does JBR beach life shorten the time between services?
Intervals depend on the watch and how it is worn. Salt, sunscreen and heat do put extra demands on seals and lubricants, so a waterside watch is worth checking sooner than a desk watch. An assessment gives you a real view of its condition.
What if moisture has got inside my Dubai Marina watch?
Tell us when you book. Moisture inside a watch should be dealt with promptly because it can mark the dial and corrode parts. We will open the case, assess the damage and explain what needs doing before any repair begins.
Do you service dive watches?
Yes, dive and sports models from the makers we cover are serviced like any other, with particular attention to the water-resistance test at the end. We cannot comment on a specific depth rating until the watch is in front of us.
