Watch Servicing
For the watch that marks a moment
A watch given for a graduation, a wedding or a first big milestone is worn with pride, and worn often. That is exactly the kind of watch that benefits from a service, because it matters to its owner and it has done real work.
Certified watchmakers service it at our Dubai Hills workshop: a full strip-down, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection, new lubrication, careful timing and a water-resistance test. Nothing proceeds until you have heard the assessment and agreed to the work. You can ask as many questions as you like before saying yes.

How the service unfolds
Taken apart with care
The watch is opened and the movement separated into its components, so each one can be looked at properly.
Cleaned and inspected
Ultrasonic cleaning removes grime and old oil, and the watchmaker then inspects each part for wear before deciding what stays.
Replaced, oiled, rebuilt
Worn components are replaced, the bearings are lubricated afresh and the movement is reassembled ready for the watchmaker to adjust it with care.
Regulated and water tested
Regulation refines the rate, and the water-resistance test follows, so the watch is ready for everyday family life again.

Mirdif, family life around City Centre
In east Dubai, Mirdif is a family villa community centred around Mirdif City Centre. Weekends mean outings, gatherings and busy households, and a watch worn through all of it picks up knocks, dust and the sudden change between hot outdoors and cool shopping malls, which is a lot to ask of any movement.
Our workshop is in Dubai Hills, and visits are by appointment. Send a WhatsApp message or call to arrange one, bring the watch and anyone who wants to hear what is involved, and we will explain the process in person, one step at a time.
Signs a family watch is due
- The watch has been dropped or knocked and behaved oddly since
- It stops sooner than its power reserve should allow
- Fine dust seems to have worked its way under the crystal
- It was a gift, and nobody remembers a service

Questions about watch servicing in Mirdif
A watch was given to me in Mirdif as a gift. Is a service worthwhile?
If it has been worn for a while with no service, an assessment is a good idea. The watchmakers will open it up, look at the condition and explain what is needed, so you can decide with a clear understanding.
Can a Mirdif family bring more than one watch to the same appointment?
Yes. Each watch is assessed individually, so a father's watch and a son's first luxury watch can be discussed side by side. Let us know on WhatsApp roughly how many are coming, so the appointment can be planned and nobody is rushed.
Does servicing cover scratches on the case?
No. A service concerns the movement and seals. Scratches and worn edges call for polishing, which is a separate service. We will mention it if we think it worthwhile, but nothing is done to the case unless you ask, and original edges are protected.
What if the watch took a knock?
A knock can affect the movement, so we look carefully. If the inspection finds damage beyond a servicing, we explain what repair involves, and nothing proceeds without your agreement. Sometimes a watch that behaves oddly after a knock needs only adjustment, and sometimes it needs more.
