Watch Servicing
Care for a collection, one watch at a time
A collector's watches are rarely all worn in the same week, which is exactly why they deserve a plan. Lubricants age whether a watch sits on the wrist or in a box. A movement that still keeps good time can be wearing inside without any outward sign, and only a full strip-down shows it.
Our certified watchmakers inspect each piece individually at the Dubai Hills workshop and write up what they find before touching anything. For a Downtown household with several pieces, that means a clear picture of the whole collection and the freedom to service one watch or all of them.
What each service covers
Full strip-down inspection
Every component is examined once the movement is apart, so any replacement is decided on evidence rather than on a rule of thumb.
Deep ultrasonic cleaning
An ultrasonic bath removes aged lubricant and fine particles from the plates, wheels and gear train, restoring clean running surfaces.
Fresh lubrication throughout
During reassembly each pivot and bearing receives new oil, which protects a rarely worn watch at the moment it comes out of the box.
Timing and sealing checks
The watch is regulated and timed, then tested for water resistance, so the case can be trusted again before it goes back to the safe.
Downtown, from the Opera District to the Burj
Between the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and the Opera District, Downtown fills with residents, collectors and hotel guests, many of whom travel with a watch they would rather not be without. Moving between hot streets and cold interiors, day after day, takes a toll on a watch that the owner rarely notices.
Reaching us is simple to arrange. Send a WhatsApp message, or call, and we will set an appointment at the Dubai Hills workshop, open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Come with the watch, and with any papers or box you have kept.
When a collection piece needs a look
- A watch left in the safe for months now starts slowly or stops
- Timekeeping drifts, even after you have set and wound it carefully
- The movement sounds different from when you first bought the watch
- You have no record of when, or whether, it was last serviced

Questions about watch servicing in Downtown Dubai
Should I service Downtown Dubai watches that rarely get worn?
Often, yes. Oil does not stay fresh indefinitely, and a watch that sits unused can still need attention, however good it looks from the outside. An assessment tells you where each piece stands, so you can decide on what the watchmaker finds.
Can ChronoCare look after several watches from one Downtown home?
Yes. Bring the collection in together, or book pieces in stages. Each watch is assessed separately, and you hear what it needs before anything proceeds, so you choose which pieces are serviced and in what order.
Will servicing change how my Downtown Dubai watch looks?
A service concerns the movement and seals, not the finish. Polishing is a separate decision and is only done if you ask for it, because we prefer to preserve a case's original edges and proportions instead of removing metal without need.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Bring the watch, and any box, papers or earlier service records you still have. They help the watchmaker understand its history. If you have none, that is no obstacle, because the watchmaker can read most of what matters from the movement once it is open.
