A collection deserves a careful plan
Collectors rotate their watches, store some for long periods and wear others on the golf course or at dinner. Each pattern brings its own wear, so one approach does not fit the whole safe. We assess every piece separately, based on how it has actually been used.
Each movement is serviced completely by certified watchmakers at the Dubai Hills workshop. You receive their findings on every watch, then decide which to proceed with, and which to leave for another day. A larger collection can be taken in stages, so nothing is rushed.

Assessment of every single piece
Every watch in the collection is examined individually, with its own findings, so decisions are made watch by watch.
Disassembly and ultrasonic bath
The movement is stripped to its components and cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, removing old lubricant that has thickened or dried.
Replacement of worn parts
Where wear is found the part is replaced, and the reassembled movement receives fresh oil wherever the maker's design calls for it.
Regulation and seal testing
The watch is timed and adjusted, then tested for water resistance, so it can return to rotation with confidence.

A watch worn for a round of golf feels repeated impact and strong sunlight, while the ones in the safe have the opposite problem: they sit still for months.

Questions about watch servicing in Emirates Hills
Do watches on winders in Emirates Hills villas still need servicing?
Yes. A winder keeps a watch running but does not refresh the oil or clean the movement. Lubricants still age while the watch operates, so a winder-kept watch benefits from servicing just as a worn one does, and the assessment shows how much it needs.
Can I bring my whole Emirates Hills collection for assessment?
You can. Tell us roughly how many pieces by WhatsApp so we can plan the appointment, then bring them to the Dubai Hills workshop. Each is looked at separately and given its own findings, and you choose which ones to service, and when.
Does wearing a watch for golf matter?
Repeated shock and strong sun are demanding. Whether a particular watch has been affected is something only an inspection can show, so we examine the movement and case carefully and report on what we find, whatever the answer turns out to be.
What is the difference between servicing and restoration?
Servicing maintains a working movement through cleaning, oiling, adjustment and testing. Restoration goes further, repairing or recreating components and finishes on older or damaged pieces. If an assessment shows a watch needs more, we explain what that involves before anything starts.
