Watch Servicing
Servicing for a life lived on the fronds
Palm Jumeirah combines villas on the fronds with beach hotels and private residences, so its watch owners include people who live here and people who arrive to enjoy it. Both bring watches that spend time by the sea, where a movement's seals and oils meet their harshest conditions.
A servicing at our Dubai Hills workshop restores the movement from the inside. Certified watchmakers take it apart, clean it, replace anything worn and rebuild it, so the watch is ready for the whole season ahead, and it comes back with a clear account of what was done.

A service, step by step
Opened and examined
The case is opened and the watchmaker records what they find, including any trace of damp, so you know where the watch really stands.
Cleaned part by part
Each component is bathed ultrasonically, which clears away aged oil and the fine deposits that coastal air can leave behind.
Rebuilt with fresh lubrication
Worn parts are swapped out and the movement is reassembled with new oil, giving it protection suited to long, hot days.
Timed and tested for water
The finished watch is regulated and timed, then tested for water resistance, so you can trust it again at the beach club.

The Palm: villas, beach hotels and sea air
Surrounded by the Gulf, the Palm has a climate of its own, with warm humid air and a constant trace of salt. Watches worn on the fronds or at the beach hotels are exposed to both, along with the shift from cool interiors to hot terraces.
Visitors staying in a Palm hotel can message us on WhatsApp before they arrive, and residents can do the same any day. We will set an appointment at the Dubai Hills workshop and take it from there. Villa residents on the fronds and guests at the beach hotels are equally welcome to ask.
Signs sea air has reached your watch
- The crown or pushers look dull, pitted or crusty up close
- Fine moisture appears under the crystal on cooler mornings
- The watch gains or loses time after a beach holiday
- Winding feels rough where it was once smooth

Questions about watch servicing in Palm Jumeirah
I visit Palm Jumeirah for part of the year. Can I still book a service?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp while you are in Dubai, or before you arrive, and we will arrange a time at the Dubai Hills workshop. Bring the watch you wear most, and we will talk through what it needs and what a service would mean for it.
Does the Palm's salt air really affect a watch?
Coastal air carries salt and moisture, and both are unkind to metal parts, seals and oils over time. A watch that lives by the sea benefits from a closer look at its condition than one kept inland, because problems there tend to start out of sight.
Can the bracelet be dealt with during a service?
A service concerns the movement and its seals. Bracelet refinishing and repinning are separate services, and we are glad to assess them at the same visit, so you hear about the whole watch at once instead of returning to deal with it in stages.
What should a Palm Jumeirah owner ask before a service?
Ask what will be done, what might be replaced and how the findings will be reported. We answer those questions before work begins, with the assessment first, so the job never grows beyond what you have approved, even once the movement is open.
