Watch Repinning
When resort life meets a metal bracelet
On the Palm, a watch might go from a breakfast terrace to the beach to dinner. Sand and sun cream collect in the joints, and a wrist can feel quite different in July than in January. All of it adds to the wear that lets a bracelet stretch.
Repinning removes the slack that wear has created. Worn pins, collars and screws are replaced, original links are kept wherever possible, and the bracelet is resized with you so it suits the way you wear the watch through the year. Visitors with a favourite watch are welcome to ask too.

Built around the seasons
Seasonal sizing advice
We talk through how you wear the watch, then size the bracelet so it is comfortable in summer heat and still secure in cooler months.
Joints firmed with new pins
Fresh pins and collars give each joint a firm hold again, and that stops the slow lengthening that follows wear.
Screws checked for wear
Screws that have loosened or worn are replaced so links stay held together through beach days and ordinary use.
Springbars at both ends
A worn springbar can let one end of the bracelet shift at the lug, so tired ones are renewed during the repinning.

Fronds, beach hotels and resort days
The Palm Jumeirah has villas along its fronds, beach hotels and residences, and it draws high-net-worth residents and visitors alike. Watches here move between pool decks and dinner tables, and bracelets collect sand, salt and sun cream along the way. A bracelet that copes with all of that deserves a proper check from time to time.
Has your bracelet begun to slip or knock? Send us a message on WhatsApp or call the workshop. We will arrange a visit to Prive Residences in Dubai Hills, go through the bracelet joint by joint and explain what we see before changing anything. Staying from abroad? Tell us your dates when you write.
After a season by the sea
- Sand or residue is visible between the links when you look closely
- The size that suited you in winter no longer feels right
- The bracelet rattles when you lift a glass or reach for a towel
- One end of the bracelet seems to move at the lug

Questions about watch repinning in Palm Jumeirah
Does heat itself stretch a metal bracelet?
Heat on its own is not what stretches a bracelet. Wear does that, as pins, collars and link holes rub against each other. Heat, sand and sun cream can contribute by changing how the wrist feels and adding abrasive grit, which is why we look at both fit and wear.
I live on the Palm Jumeirah. Can the bracelet be sized for summer and winter?
Tell us how your wrist changes through the year and we will recommend a size that works across the seasons. Where a bracelet allows extra adjustment we will point it out; if it does not, we will say so plainly.
Is it worth repinning if the watch is only worn on holiday?
Yes, if the bracelet has loosened or rattles. Occasional wear still puts stress on the joints, and a bracelet that slides on the wrist invites a drop. The inspection will show how much wear there is, so you can judge whether to proceed.
Can visitors staying on the Palm Jumeirah arrange repinning?
Message us on WhatsApp as early as you can, with a photo and the dates of your stay. We cannot give a timescale until we have seen the watch, but we will explain what is possible and what you would need to do.
