Watch Repinning for Dubai Marina
Salt air, humidity and sun cream all find their way into a bracelet's joints. For Dubai Marina wearers we replace the worn pins, collars and screws and close up the slack.

Watch Repinning
Waterfront life is hard on bracelet joints
A bracelet is made of many small moving joints, and each joint is a place where moisture, grit and sun cream can collect. In a waterfront setting like Dubai Marina, that mixture can make everyday movement more abrasive on the pins and collars inside the links. Over time the bracelet lengthens and begins to rattle.
Repinning answers that wear directly. We take out the tired pins, collars and screws, fit new ones, and keep the original links wherever we can. The bracelet is then resized so the watch sits securely, which is useful when you move between the office, Marina Walk and the deck of a boat.

How we deal with joint wear
Inspection joint by joint
Each link is examined for play and for wear around the pin holes, so we know whether new pins will be enough.
Fresh pins and collars
New pins and collars go in where wear has opened up the joint, which brings the bracelet back to a firm, quiet fit.
Screws and springbars changed
Worn screws and springbars are replaced too, since a single tired fixing is enough to let a bracelet shift or come away.
Resized for warm weather
We set the size with the climate in mind, leaving a sensible allowance for a wrist that swells in the heat.

Marina Walk, JBR and the heat
Dubai Marina is waterfront towers, cafes along Marina Walk and the beach at JBR, with a yachting and expat community that spends plenty of time near the water. Heat and humidity are constants, and wrists are often damp, sun-creamed or both when a watch is on them, which makes small parts work harder.
If your bracelet has started to rattle or lengthen, message us on WhatsApp with a short description and, if you can, a photo. We will invite you to our Dubai Hills workshop, where certified watchmakers examine the bracelet link by link and tell you what they find before anything is agreed.
What salt and sweat leave behind
- The bracelet feels gritty as it flexes and has begun to rattle
- The watch still hangs loose after a day of warm weather
- A gap has opened at one link since the summer began
- One screw sits slightly proud of its link

Questions about watch repinning in Dubai Marina
Can humidity really loosen a bracelet?
Humidity does not stretch metal on its own, but moisture, salt and grit can collect in the joints and speed up wear on the pins and collars. That wear is what lets the bracelet lengthen and rattle, and it is what repinning corrects.
I spend weekends on the water around Dubai Marina. Is repinning worth doing?
If the bracelet has begun to rattle or lengthen, yes. Salt and moisture wear small parts quickly, so checking the pins and collars early gives the original links the best chance of being kept. The inspection will show how far the wear has gone.
Is it safe to keep wearing a loose bracelet while I wait for an appointment?
Take care. A bracelet with a worn pin or a failing screw can come apart, and a dropped watch may be damaged. If you have noticed a link moving or a screw backing out, say so when you message and we will advise on the next step.
How does a booking work if I am based in Dubai Marina?
Message the workshop on WhatsApp or call, ideally with a photo. We will agree an appointment at Prive Residences in Dubai Hills, where the watch is inspected and the findings are explained before any repinning begins. You decide whether to go ahead.
